Battle of Jakku is a free expansion pack for Star Wars Battlefront. The expansion pack serves as an insight to the Battle of Jakku (hence the name), a battle that happened a 369 days after the Battle of Endor and serves as one of the many precursors to The Force Awakens. The Battle became available on December 8, 2015. Those who pre-ordered the game got the expansion pack on December 1, 2015.
Premise
Fans who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront will be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.[1]
This DLC was a tie-in with The Force Awakens and is the only DLC from the sequel trilogy that is present in the reboot. It was originally released to players who pre-ordered the game, but it was later released as a free download sometime in February. Jakku was also the first planet that Turning Point was used on.
