The Super Battle Droid MK III was the successor of the Super Battle Droid MK II. Its armor has a higher resistance than its predecessor. The Super Droid MK III head design is similar to the design of the Super Battle Droid's cranium unit.

Like all the new units in the two handheld console Battlefront games the player can choose the weapons, the markings and colours of these droids in the personalisation menu.
