The Engineer Droid, or the Droid Pilot as called in Star Wars: Battlefront, is the repair droid unit for the CIS in Pandemic Studios' Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II.
Overview[]
In Star Wars: Battlefront II, the Engineer Droid's gun shoots a wide spray of shots that will kill or inflict great damage at close range but this power dissipates quickly at longer distances. On of the Engineer Droid's most iconic weapons are their fusion cutters, which allow them to repair damaged vehicles, health and ammo droids, turrets and also grants them the ability to slice into enemy vehicles. Th Engineer Droid is also armed with Detpacks, which are remote-controlled explosives that are good for demolition tasks.
The Engineer Droid's final ability is the ability to dispense health and ammo. These abilities make the Engineer Droid a very important part of the CIS Droid army, and there should be at least a couple on your team at any given time. They have yellow markings. Their main weakness is that their shotguns are only effective at close range, meaning that mid- and long range fights rarely end in their favor, though they can use some trickery with their Detpacks. (Equivalent - Imperial Engineer, Rebel Smuggler, Clone Engineer).

Like most of the other Separatist units, the Engineer Droid only has the one skin in either Star Wars: Battlefront or Star Wars: Battlefront II.
Trivia[]
- In Star Wars: Battlefront, the Engineer Droid uses a Droid Pilot skin and is called a Droid Pilot.
- On the console version of Star Wars: Battlefront, the campaign missions "The Battle of Naboo" and "Rebellion on Theed", the Engineer Droid has a red skin.
- The yellow markings are reserved for commanders so it is not accurate to canon.
