The DL-44 is the blaster pistol featured in Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II. It is the famous blaster pistol model used by Han Solo.

Overview[]

The DL-44 is the last weapon unlocked in the base game and is unlocked at rank 25 and can be purchased with 2,500 credits. If the player, however, is using the Deluxe, Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game, they will get the weapon for free as soon as they open the game.

The DL-44 has the second highest damage per-shot in the game (rivaling the T-21 blaster, which deals 50 damage per shot) which, combined with its 210 RPM, makes it very deadly at close range. The only in-game weapon with more damage is the DLT-19X rifle, which deals 100 damage at maximum and 67 damage at minimum.

The DL-44 will reliably kill with two shots in the chest up from 20 meters, but at around 20-40 meters, it will require three hits to kill and this increases over distance. At long range, target leading may be needed if the enemy is moving sideways due to blaster shot travel time.

It is recommended to use Jump Pack if the user wishes to close in on the enemy allowing for the minimum distance needed to get a two shot kill. A long range Star Card such as Pulse Cannon or Homing Shot should be used at medium/long range in case the player feels they cannot kill the enemy at such ranges.

Trivia[]

The DL-44 is based on the Mauser C96 pistol, but with an added scope and barrel modification.
